This is similar in some ways (puppet animation) to Fleet Foxes "White Winter Hymnal" that was directed by Sean Pecknold and produced in July of 2008. It's also similar to another short that Sean did in April 2008 titled "Strange Hunger" that utilized a "jonah in the belly of the whale" theme. All three videos are beautiful but I think Sean's work was done first. You can see the two Pecknold video's here:
