There are times when I feel guilty posting songs by artists whose work I truly respect. At the same time, some of these artists make material that is simply too amazing not to share. Case in point with "Greenlight," the first single from John Legend's new album (featuring Andre 3000).

Don't worry -- I've heard a lot of the new album, and Legend keeps it real and chill with his signature old-school approach...but the new direction he ventures toward with this particular song, although risky, is totally successful and (duh) DOPE. Go BUY his album when it hit stores this winter.

On his latest release, the legendary Al Green is appealing to a younger audience with a little help from some contemporary heavyweights.

Celebrated Roots drummer Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson and keyboardist James Poyser co-produced the R&B pioneer's new studio album, Lay It Down, creating an updated vibe for the veteran soul/gospel crooner.

Frequent collaborators, ?uestlove and Poyser have played a great role in molding the sound of today's Soul movement, lending their brand of rich, Philly funk to projects by Erykah Badu, Common, Jill Scott, and of course, the legendary Roots crew, to name a few.

The album also features guest spots from Corinne Bailey Rae, Anthony Hamilton and John Legend. The Corrine and Legend tracks will be available on iTunes on Tuesday.
